Drum Roll Please (...in a week)
It's almost here! The day of our first ultra sound! We can't wait. We are so anxious to know that our baby is healthy and developing correctly. We are also very excited to find out what we are having. So now is the time to guess! Are we having a boy or a girl? Post a comment and I'll keep track of boy vs. girl!
Everything is going smoothly so far. I went to the doctor on the 6th and everything was looking perfect. It's been nice to hear that I am right on track with it all. I especially loved hearing that the ideal weight gain at your 16 week mark is 2 pounds more than I have gained. I'm trying to eat well but also enjoy food during this pregnancy. It's kind of a tough balance because a lot of the food I enjoy a LOT is the stuff that's not good for you (AKA chocolate).
We had an exciting weekend this last week too. I felt the baby kick for the first time last Friday while Dev and I were watching a movie. I sat up and said: "I'm pretty sure I just felt the baby kick". He quickly paused the movie, but we were both a little disappointed when he couldn't feel what I was feeling. But thankfully, a few days later, he felt a little kick. It has been so fun! The baby has a movement schedule. Kicks the most in the morning and as the day goes on, the movement becomes less frequent. I hardly ever feel it when I'm laying down or standing. Mainly when I am sitting. It's been so fun to feel the baby move. It makes the pregnancy seem so much more real!
I will post another picture of my growing belly after the ultra sound next week. 19 weeks here we come!
